Clinical centres seeking approval to host graduates in the NPDP are advised to contact npdp@air.asn.au, particularly where there are concerns about supervision requirements or the availability of particular professional practice modalities.

Graduate Enrolment

Enrol now in the National Professional Development Programme!

Enrolment in the NPDP is available to current students and graduates of Australian medical imaging and radiation therapy programmes.

Once you have enrolled, you will have access to a range of resources and the latest information you will need to complete your NPDP and you'll also receive regular communication from the AIR about opportunities available to you.

Clinical Centre Enrolment

Enrol your clinical centre now in the National Professional Development Programme!

Clinical centres who wish to offer NPDP positions to new medical imaging or radiation graduates should enrol in the NPDP.

Centres that were previously accredited for the PDY will require a new enrolment in the NPDP.

Once your centre is enrolled, you will have access to a range of resources and the latest information you will need to support graduates in the NPDP.

Professional Development Year (PDY)

NOTE: The PDY is now replaced by the National Professional Development Programme (NPDP) from 1st November 2010.

The Professional Development Year (PDY) is a mediated entry to the profession allowing the development of clinical proficiency based on skills and knowledge acquired as a student practitioner.

Graduates who have commenced their PDY before 1st November 2010 may complete the PDY, however no new enrolments to the PDY will occur.

PDY report forms are available from the PAEB by emailing paeb@air.asn.au. All queries regarding the PDY should be directed to the PAEB at paeb@air.asn.au.
