Competency Based Assessment (CBA)

The AIR Competency Based Assessment (CBA) is one mechanism used to determine whether practitioners meet the Competency Based Standards for the Accredited Practitioner.

The  CBA is managed by the Professional Accreditation and Education Board (PAEB) of the AIR.

The CBA is a mandatory requirement to complete the AIR Resumption of Professional Practice Programme.

The CBA is offered when and where available.  The PAEB aims where possible to meet candidate's needs, however candidates for the CBA should be aware that they are not be able to choose particular locations or timeframes.  Depending on availability, candidates for CBA may experience substantial delays in commencing the CBA.

CBA costs
Stage 1 CBA  $440 (incl GST)
Stage 2 CBA $1100 (incl GST)
CBA costs are payable prior to commencement of the CBA Stage or as detailed in the individual RPP agreement
